I began my Bachelor of Architecture and Environments as a mature aged student, bringing real world skills I thought were solid. The degree pushed me to refine those abilities and make them relevant to design. Clear communication had to become sharper. Problem solving had to become more rigorous. Practical judgment had to be tested against actual spatial and environmental outcomes.
This mix of experience and challenge shapes the way I work. I focus on utility, function, and environmental responsiveness, with a close eye on how spaces perform under everyday pressure.
I have learnt to work through ideas by building models. Handling materials, testing form by hand, and working at scale helps me keep ideas grounded while communicating each stage of the process. You can view some of the models I have made below, which show my approach in action.
This hands-on, considered approach guides everything I design.
